Oppo Find 7

Oppo is a relative newcomer in the mobile phone industry. Since the mobile phone industry is quite a saturated niche, you need to have a mobile phone that stands out from the rest.

Today, we are going to take a look at Oppo’s flagship mobile phones, the Oppo Find 7. Is the Oppo Find 7 really a good flagship phone that Oppo hopes it to be? Let’s find out.

The design of the Oppo Find 7 is, to put it simply, plain. Oppo opted for a more regular look as opposed to their previous creation, the N1. The mobile phone looks like any other slim phone out on the market. It has curved edges for better gripping and comfort. The mobile phone also comes in two colors: black and white.

For the display, the Oppo Find 7 has a 5.5-inch Quad HD IPS display with a resolution 2,560 x1440. Oppo’s philosophy of having a regular looking phone seems to make a point that the overall design is plain, and you would only want to look at the screen.

They might nail that point down. The screen is absolutely gorgeous and if there is one saving grace for the mobile phone, it would be this one. The only problem with this superb screen, at least according to some people, is that the color reproduction leaves much to be desired. It is not the same color reproduction as experienced by some mobile phone users with IPS displays, but for the most part, it should be pretty much okay.

The Oppo Find 7 is powered by a custom firmware which the company calls the “ColorOS”. The ColorOS is basically just an Android 4.3 version but it gives you the ability to change some aspects of the interface such as themes, for example.

You will never find your homescreen boring again. There are a number of themes you can choose from and you can even download more from the Oppo website. This is truly an interesting move by Oppo; to give mobile phone users a chance to beautify their phones according to their liking.

The camera that comes with the Oppo Find 7 is, to put it bluntly, mediocre at best. It has the same camera as the one found in the HTC OnePlus One. Although it is a 13-megapixel camera, the photos that you get are subpar, at least, compared to other mobile phones on the market.

Still, you will find a 5-megapixel camera on the front of the mobile phone that should be adequate enough for your selfie-taking pleasures.

As for the performance aspect, the Oppo Find 7 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Quad-Core processor which has a clock speed of 2.5GHz. This processor is found in most mobile phones on the market, alongside the HTC One M8.

The Mobile phone also comes with a hefty 3GB of RAM which is more than enough even for the heavy multi-taskers out there.

Battery Capacity is also a beefy one having 3,000 MaH of battery power and Oppo gives you a turbo charger by default, which is pretty nice.

The phone also comes with 32GB of internal memory and you have the option to put in a micro SD card. The Oppo Find 7 supports up to 128GB of micro SD card capacities.

So, is the Oppo Find 7 a good mobile phone? Well, if you’re not thinking about the design and camera, then yes, the Oppo Find 7 is a good mobile phone.
